Bleckley Dobbs

Bleckley loves the art and science of financial planning. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.  After working at 3M as a chemical engineer for twenty years, Bleckley decided to follow his passion to become a financial planner. In 2004, he completed the coursework for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner designation at the University of Texas and started working as a financial planner. Bleckley later earned the designation of Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®). Bleckley is a founding partner of Watercolor Financial. 

 

Bleckley and his wife Sharon have been married for 38 years and have two grown daughters.  Bleckley and Sharon are members of St. Luke’s on the Lake Episcopal Church where he is chairman of the Endowment Committee.  He has been an active member of the Financial Planning Association for 20 years, where he has held many leadership positions in the Austin chapter, including president.  Bleckley’s hobbies include golf, swimming and cheering on Austin FC.
